ACT

Re: ACT
Wow, I thought everyone had to take the ACT's. That was like a standard thing when I was in high school in addition to taking SAT's. Both Universities that I have attended required an ACT score for admittance and for placement in Math and English unless you had enough transfer credits, then they look at your GPA from your previous University.
And wtf, that is one of the nastiest pictures I have ever seen....bleh!

I do pretty well on tests, and I'm not worried about failing it, but I would like to know if theres anything specific I should study for just to freshen up? Any information about whats generally on the test would be a big help.
My shitty community college education cost me six months and gets me $20/hr until I can save up to go back to a real college, for physics.
IF YOU FAIL THE ACT YOU SHOULD NOT BE IN COLLEGE, UNLESS YOU'RE A FOOTBALL PLAYER.
You should study:
Science
Math
social STUDIEs
engrish
EDIT: Grammar :P

Re: ACT
I DID NOT FAIL THE ACT. I went to community (sorry for the typo) college for 2 months. I took their shitty placement test, tested out of all of the mandatory classes they put me in all honors classes. The counsiler was a dumbass and talked to me like i was a retard for going to community college if I had no plans of repairing refrigerators and ----. They only had one book I needed out of 4 classes. Out of the classes I went to, they just tought ---- I alredy knew. The classes moved slow as hell. And the school was in a shitty area. Your local community college may be wonderful, but I did not enjoy my experience with my local school. 20 an hours not to bad either. what did you get into?

Re: ACT
If you're taking it Oct 22, as I am, good luck.
For math: The math hardly goes higher than Algebra 1, with a little Geometry and Trig.
Science: Learn how to read fast and interpet.
Reading: Devided into 4 sections. Find your best one's and do them first.
English: 10 basic rules of grammar. Know the rules of all the punctution and tenses.
Thats about it.

Best way to study for the ACT math is just know your basic algebra/geometry/trig.
ACT English is all gramatical, so make sure you know how to use your semicolons, colons, etc...
Everything else is reading, you need to be able to read at a decent pace to finish in time.
