The accord seems to be attracting alot of attention latley...
So anyway... lately since its been fixed ive been taking it out now and again, its runnin ok... but in the last week or so, ive seen some kids in a red 240sx checking it out in front of my house for like 5 min, then some puerto rican guys came and asked about it etc... i showed them the engine bay but told them it didnt run and has big problems etc... 3 nights ago some ------- in a mustang proceeds to pull up my street at about 1100pm and burnout right infront of my house (I live on a short *** street with 5 houses on it) so i assume it was intended for me or somthing. And last night my dad tells me some guys in a tricked out RSX with big cromies and a body kit were checking it out as well for a few min in front of my house... What do you think guys... think people are just like WTF is that or do you think it might get jacked? All you can see from the outside is the CCA FMIC and the boost/vac- af gauges in the pod... i hide the safc. Oh yea, i also live in the suburbs, where car stereos get ripped off occasionally but i dont know of too many people that have had their cars' jacked...

Yeah, I'd keep an extra lookout for it though. Some people might be interested in seeing it, just because it's different and original (you have an 88 correct?) but others might be eyeing up those gauges and I/C

I get that kind of attention all the time, and I don't really like it. I get the feeling people are thinking about jacking my car, but they know better since I know who's been eyeballing it and where they would hide it if they jacked it.
I try to stay away from the crowd that would consider doing ---- like that. Always keep your car locked and don't give people a reason to steal it. If your car dosn't appeal to them usually locked doors will be enough to keep them at bay (around here usually) but if somebody wants your car, they're gonna do whatever they can to get it.
Just be careful and you should be alright.

yeah shes a 1988... The gauges arent even for the car, they are cheapass tenzo R's in a 99 eclipse pod (modded to fit) they cost like $70 w/the pod... There arent really any parts that could be easily stolen and sold for money, they are either custom made by me or 86-89 accord specific... maybe excluding the safc... thats it.

Nobody would want to take that car that didn't know what you've done to it, keep that in mind if it ever goes missing.
I think thieves would be more concerned with all the flashy cars driving around with expensive stereo systems than an older accord with a couple of pillar gauges.
Paint the FMIC black, I think it would look better. Not a bad looking car in my opinion, but thieves certainly won't be leaping the fence for it unless they know it's boosted.
