Yeah, but the car only has 50 some thousand miles on it...If it's been garaged(I'm sure it has) and not daily driven that entire 13 years(I think it would've accumulated more that 50k miles if so) then I'd say thats a good deal...You say it hasn't been heavily modified and I think you can tell whether or not it been taken care of...ALOT cooler car than an 02 SS...

Buy the car as an investment. Don't modify it or you'll only be able to resell it for 20k.

I think 16k is a honest price that if he is hurting for cash will take. Any lower is just wasting your time

stay firm at the 16k and Im sure you will get it

not if you know what you are doing.

I for one have NEVER lost money when selling a car. I have always got more than what I initially paid for it [weli did lose once, when my auntie got my jaguar, but that's an exception. she needed some pimp wheels, she was cruising around in a beat sentra.]

back on topic. If you are looking for a car to resell and make money, i'd say at 20k it's a 70% good investment [getting more than blue book requires you to find an true enthusiast that would and appreciate the car for what it is. A regular shmuck on from the grocery store could give a rats ass and the kbb is their guide.]. And if you are looking to resell I would convert it back to 100% stock and find that buyer looking for a gem.

If you actually want to buy it and use it, very good price. And in the event that you want to sell it, you will be able to get your money back +/- some change.

i agree that 16k would be an excellent offer that he would be compelled to accept. At 16k, there's like a 95% chance you will get more than what you paid when/if you decide to sell it. The 5% is for if you ---- it up or you live in an amish town.

conclusion: if it is mint and the carfax verifies this, I would get it.

What color is it, and what does the interior look like? Supra's are one of those cars that people just like, so for the most part its gonna hold its value. I'd still talk him down a bit 20k just seems a little bit high.

50k miles seems good....Id want to know if the guy was old or young...did he take it to redline every drive, did it ever see a track, if so then knock 5k off the price. I dont think Id give a penny over 20k and Id offer 16k cash to start the bidding and aim for about 18k.
