94' twin turbo Supra how much would you pay?

Its a 94' red 6 speed Supra with 56000 miles. It has the little ---- like a front mount, BOV and all those other bolt on's. The guy's company is going under so he's trying to sell everything real fast. He said $20,000 but he might go lower.

Thats around bluebook but Supra's usually don't sell for book value thats why I'm wondering if its worth the price. It sounded like a deal but I never really looked at buying a Supra so I wasn't sure.

Just remember that modifications decrease value, not the other way around, so don't let him jack you around.

It sounds like he needs money, so you would be doing him a favor. Offer 14K, so he tries to tell you 18, then say 15, and you might end up at 16K.

A 94 with 56k? :o Was it lost in the lake for a decade or what? ???

Those fuckers seem to sell OVER blue book so I would say if it's at or a bit under BB than it would be a decent deal. One hell of a car either way......

It's ok, I do the same ----. I have no problems throwin out a lowball so low that it's on the verge of offensive. Worst he can do is say no. Best you can do is save a couple thou for upgrades.

Just like boost said, they sell for well over BB value so 20k is a great deal.

20k for a 13 year old car, I'd buy an 02 ss camaro, if you want something fast and hetero sexual

I think 20 sounds reasonable. A buddy of mine just sold his but heavily modified for $26k. Made 860 to the wheels.

Yeah, but the car only has 50 some thousand miles on it...If it's been garaged(I'm sure it has) and not daily driven that entire 13 years(I think it would've accumulated more that 50k miles if so) then I'd say thats a good deal...You say it hasn't been heavily modified and I think you can tell whether or not it been taken care of...ALOT cooler car than an 02 SS...

Re: 94' twin turbo Supra how much would you pay?

Buy the car as an investment. Don't modify it or you'll only be able to resell it for 20k.

Re: 94' twin turbo Supra how much would you pay?

I think 16k is a honest price that if he is hurting for cash will take. Any lower is just wasting your time

stay firm at the 16k and Im sure you will get it

not if you know what you are doing.

I for one have NEVER lost money when selling a car. I have always got more than what I initially paid for it [weli did lose once, when my auntie got my jaguar, but that's an exception. she needed some pimp wheels, she was cruising around in a beat sentra.]

back on topic. If you are looking for a car to resell and make money, i'd say at 20k it's a 70% good investment [getting more than blue book requires you to find an true enthusiast that would and appreciate the car for what it is. A regular shmuck on from the grocery store could give a rats ass and the kbb is their guide.]. And if you are looking to resell I would convert it back to 100% stock and find that buyer looking for a gem.

If you actually want to buy it and use it, very good price. And in the event that you want to sell it, you will be able to get your money back +/- some change.

i agree that 16k would be an excellent offer that he would be compelled to accept. At 16k, there's like a 95% chance you will get more than what you paid when/if you decide to sell it. The 5% is for if you ---- it up or you live in an amish town.

conclusion: if it is mint and the carfax verifies this, I would get it.

bring and show him 16500 CASH and i am sure it will be a done deal.

Re: 94' twin turbo Supra how much would you pay?

What color is it, and what does the interior look like? Supra's are one of those cars that people just like, so for the most part its gonna hold its value. I'd still talk him down a bit 20k just seems a little bit high.

Re: 94' twin turbo Supra how much would you pay?

50k miles seems good....Id want to know if the guy was old or young...did he take it to redline every drive, did it ever see a track, if so then knock 5k off the price. I dont think Id give a penny over 20k and Id offer 16k cash to start the bidding and aim for about 18k.

i have a buddy who bought one same year and it was also a twin turbo 6 speed, but it had about 60K miles on it and he spent like 24K on it...if you can get it for under 20K then your getting a really good deal

Re: 94' twin turbo Supra how much would you pay?

Offer him $16k on the spot and go from there. Like said, if he's that hurting for cash he'll work something out just due to the fact he wants that dinero asap lol.

BTW, good to see you back Whitey...it's been a while ;)

Re: 94' twin turbo Supra how much would you pay?

I was offered a jade green TT auto for 13k(fmic only mod) and didnt have enough credit to pull a personal loan from the bank.I kick myself in the ass everyday for not taking it or at least getting his number.I would do a compression test before buying it.Teh jdm TT motors are cheaper than b series motors but the 6 speed getrag will make you sell the car if you break it...
