No fuel management...I would park it till you get the fuel side done.

there is no sence in going to all this work only to skimp out on the most important part. I agree, park that puppy!

Are you listening to the stuff that's being posted?

don't drive your car! 87 octane and a stock fuel system....KABOOM! You're an idiot!

You need some way to control the 450s....at least go buy a chipped OBD-0 ECU with a basemap

you need a way to control the bigger injectors. It's going to run like ---- if it even runs at all ::)

this is not going to cut it, bigger injectors aren't going to fix the problem without someway to control them, i mean jesus even an fmu would be safer than what you're doing! Not a whole lot safer mind you... but sweet jesus man give your car a fighting chance.

Dude, buy some overnight parts from Japan. You're gonna blow yourself to pieces.

Jmunk 10-25-2005 10:43 AM

Re: 90 si turboed

For starters your going to need to chip your ECU, and use one of the mangement programs (depending on your OBD generation) and get someone to burn you a base map, then get on a dyno or find someone with a wideband to tune it. I would start reading about the programs and go from there.

davcivic 10-25-2005 11:44 AM

Re: 90 si turboed

We already told you way in the beginning of this thread.

Go read the Engine Management FAQ's

Even 1psi is too much on your stock fuel system. It might be holding up now, but that doesn't mean it is fine. Everytime you drive your car boosting it you are killing your engine, plain and simple.

Of course the car is going to flood with no control and 450's in there, and it will also flood with anything over stock. The 450's is almost double your stock system, without any form of control the car won't run.

again Go read the Engine Management FAQ's or you really will be posting pics of your blown Si, and if it is your only car to school I would be worried, it doesn't sound like you have money to get a new engine.

PS Air/Fuel gauges are only a pretty light show, they don't work for ----, or let me rephrase that, they are not accurate enough to trust while driving a boosted car.

Re: 90 si turboed

iam going to do the p28 obdo to obd1 conversion and chipin it as soon as i find a p28 an get the chip. some one i know had the same set up on his car and he still have the soft ware to run a 14b with 450 at 9 pounds

davcivic 10-25-2005 02:06 PM

Re: 90 si turboed

No two cars are alike, even with the same parts. Engines all react different to different modifications, but it would be a nice start to better tuning later on.

But seriously, right now, if you keep boosting it, it won't last. open up the wastegate or take out the charge pipes or something. Or start saving up for a new engine.

70Challenger 10-25-2005 02:09 PM

Re: 90 si turboed

Get that wastegate open, and pop that charge piping off and just let it run naturally asperated with a filter until you're ready to tune, or theres always carpool
