when you go to court, ask to see the records of the radar gun that they clocked you with to see when the last time it was calibrated. Most likely they have no clue which gun it was and if they do then the records are out dated or they have no time to look for them and they will drop the case. Also, when you are pulled over, ask to see the radar gun and the number visible on the display that they clocked you at. If he erased it then there is no proof. Always go to court and try to fight it though.

Thanks for all the info guys. Yeah I am definitely going to court and fighting this thing. I am going to talk with my attorneys pretty soon about another matter so I will see what they can do about this speeding ticket as well.

If I just wasn't paying attention and a cop on the side of the road got me then I wouldn't be so pissed off. I have ------- eagle eyes when I am driving though and I have driven that road a million times so I know every little spot where they can hide and I always slow down. I didn't see a damn thing though so everything that cop was telling me had to be bull poop.

Re:89 mph speeding ticket...(UPDATED)

I had my contested hearing today and basically the judge said ---- off you were speeding. I knew the judge already from another no seat belt ticket or something and he is a dick. I got the ticket dropped from $153 to $110, but that aint ----. I just hope my insurance doesn't go up too much. I could appeal and get a lawyer, but I don't know if I want to deal with all that just for a speeding ticket. If I ever get another one I am going straight to a good traffic lawyer instead of going in there with my thumb up my ass. >:(

You know.... that sucks I had the same problem once but with an accident ticket. Anyways You dont need a lawyer you should be able to appeal. In the court I went to you had to speak with the district attorney and we negotiated something.... I'm sure you could probably attemtp the same.

I had a dickhead for a judge though.

But here the fucked up part. i got home a 12 oclock and went to bed. he issued the ticket at 3 oclock am in the morning. My car was parked by my drive way and i was alseep when he gave me the ticket. I called them and asked what was about and they gave me some bullshit answer cuz i didnt' update my tags. i didnt know they follow you to your house to see if its update.

Fight that ticket man

Re:89 mph speeding ticket... (UPDATED)

When clocking cars by air the helicopter or airplane acually dont use radar or laser since they are above you and the radar measures the speed at which you are getting closer or farther away. So if your directly below them itll show 0mph. So instead they use those big white cross markers painted on the street to time how long it takes to go between marks. If there isnt marks there is no way he got your spped from the air accuarately.

Even if he did have a gun, the gun measures RELATIVE speed, the difference between you nad the aircraft, hows that accurate if hes moving.

last i heard police planes can't clock you in washington anymore. as of like 12-18 months ago i heard that. they where deemd inacurate. <-- or however you spell it. just do the whole supena papers adn stuff. its worth it if one thing doesn't show up its thrown out. i have not been hit by a plane yet but plenty of roadhogs.
