Kinda like the nerdy kid that gets a engineer job making $100k a year, but the bully plays football and makes $20 million lol

That doesn't change the fact that he was a Jew.

"Hey, nevermind the fact these people have nothing to do with the war; it's ok to blow them up because they live there!"

You should join al-Qaeda, they have the same ideals.

I saw something about this on the Discovery channel today, and I thought "oh ----, today is December 7th"

I was actually gonna make a post on here about it but Whitey beat me to it. My grandpa lost several of his closest best friends in Pearl Harbor. He had to drop out of highschool to go fight those gook bastards.

Nowdays I hear a lot of old guys that fought in the war say "I'll never buy one of those crackerjack japanese cars, I fought those mother fuckers in the war!"

ignnnnorant statement

nuking japan saved millions of lives on both sides.

if we had to WE WOULD HAVE taken japan conventionally. it would've cost a lot of lives though

Wow, I didn't see Dx 101 saying anything about saving lives by doing it. Could have fooled me!

My grandfather was on Okinawa preparing for the invasion of Japan (yes we were ready to invade) he was going to be on the first wave and they predicted that the first 3 waves of forces would be completely killed. If we didn't drop the bomb I wouldn't be here right now. The bomb saved countless lives.

what the ---- are you trying to say?

we nuked a thousands of people to save millions.

dragon 12-07-2005 07:22 PM

Re: 64 years ago today

if you studied history the point of the bomb was to save lives. The use made a pack with the allies that if we help them fight the germans they would help us fight japan. Neither of us wanted to lose anymore lives so we had a solution that would put a stop to japan. Yes maybe innocent people were killed in japan but its logical to lose thousand of lives than millions.

They were too stupid to take a hint on the first one, so a 2nd was dropped on Nagasaki many of the componets ont he 2nd bomb were made about 40 miles from where I live. >:D ---- them cheapshot pieces of ----.

My original comments only pertained to the view that Dx 101 expressed, being that innocents do not matter. Reading what Dx 101 said, you would notice that he did not mention, nor acknowledge, the idea that what was done actually saved lives. Now, anyone who dabbles in English would understand that from the given set of parameters, nothing could possibily point to a view when it comes to whether the nukes did or did not have purpose.

Basically, you brought up a point that had no relevence to my comments. I only made fun of the idea the innocents do not matter, that does not include any stance on if the nukings saved lives.Woohaa, gotcha all in check..

RS, BD, and everyone else who thinks the bomb stoped the war...

read this..

http://www.army.mil/cmh-pg/books/70-7_23.htm

IMO, they could have told japan to "clear out" the cities, a day ahead of the dropping of the bomb. and if they didnt comply.. then the hell with them..

the targets were not pre meditaded... i saw on the discovery channle a while back.. that they were flying out to a target.. and cause it had clouds.. they changed course and dropped it somewhere else...

i too thought it ended the war.. till my friend sent me that link... and it was one of the first times i admitted i was wrong ;D and i have done so a couple times after that...

J-SMITH69 12-07-2005 09:27 PM

Re: 64 years ago today

that link in opinoin. its on the army website but its made by a civilian. saying they think they would've surrendered doesnt matter, the fact is the nukes DID make them surrender

there have been many many mlitary officials on TV saying why the bomb was used

i know..
it was hosted on other sites too.. thats just the only one i could find for now.. but its not only opinion. it cites sources. gives both sides. leaves for you to decide.

read it dude.

Re: 64 years ago today

and all those sources? its not just some guy saying.. yeah dudes.. we shouldnt have dropped it..

sources are not just any sources.. they are Primary sources.

what do you think?

it brings up plenty of good points.

dude. im not saying we shouldnt have bombed them. im just saying we could have given them warning.. i would have given them warnings and dropped alot more than 2 bombs...

the japenese were out of control. ---- like comfort women. and the baahtan march. executing soldiers for the smallest ----.. fighting till the death... thease people are fucked up. and i have no idea where there rage went..

there is also contreversy as to weather pearl harbor was done in self defense or not. japan had said we sunk 3 of there submarines.. so they retaliated.. and the us denied it.. so there was another discovery channle thing where they recovered one of the subs. that was indeed sunken by us. ill try to find that article now...

like i said.. i dont hate this country.. dont know why you would think i do.. im not a hippie.. i dont beileve in a utopia. or lala land.
