6" steel pipe?
Looking for 4"-6" steel pipe. I want to make my own n1 style (not replica) muffler for my turbo project. I'm gonna use 3" inside, split it to punch holes/dimple then reweld it. Then make end caps. From dp back will be 3". I'm kinda a novice/amteur at welding. I just wanna make some things that I'll actually use. I already made a catch can and modified eg rails to put del sol seats in my 88. Can't be too thin though, I'm using a small 110 mig

Re:6" steel pipe?
It's so much easier to just buy a used muffler on ebay. yeah I'm all about fabrication of my own ----, but I also do things the smart way.

Re:6" steel pipe?
I Have the cash to go buy new, I just wanna make something myself. I have ~7g's tied up in the car so far (80% of that money is motor and management). The only things that remained the same are crank, & trans. Everything else has been replaced/ upgraded.

Re:6" steel pipe?
if you have that much into the car, why throw on something ghetto like a homemade muffler?

Re:6" steel pipe?
buy a 3" glasspack, lop it in half, flip one side over parallel to the other, weld a "loop" tothe inlet/outlets, boom n1 style muffler.
