6 15" subs in a civic?

Yeah I had planned on bracing there wasnt sure what you were refering to. After test fitting the subs I decided not to because the top, bottum and sides of the subs are not just mounted to the face, they screw into the side boards. The clearence is just that tight! So, in order for it to flex in that area the sub baskets themselves would have to flex. Its not really an SPL setup as I have it tuned pretty low. Its mostly for the shop and advertising. I could win spl events all day with 2 12's in a CRX. I'm hoping to see around 155-157 depending on the event and type of mic. Its a sort of a low power setup and should do really well in my class. I finished 1st in the state with 2 state records on my last setup and was invited to USACI World Finals Super Stock 901-1800 class. This is only a 901-1800watt "Modified" setup ( 4000 watts rms .75 ohm if you follow this type of ----). Super low power for the setup really. The subs we use are very efficiant. So far, it hurts. I tossed the amps in there last night before I really started to cover panels up and what not to hunt for rattles or weak areas and ----. No tuning or break in it pegged our old school analog meter (reads up to 155 but its a soft mic) playing just music no tones haha.

Re: 6 15" subs in a civic?
A friend of mine is really heavily into car audio setups and builds boxes and ----. He sold me a 12" Audiobahn subwoofer, huge slot port box (no idea what it's tuned to), and a hifonics amp for $260. The subwoofer and box were both brand new.
He says I'm probably pushing around 140-144 dbl in my CRX and I believe it. I googled what effects different dbl has on a person and it said at 144 your vocal cords vibrate and you talk funny...which happens in my car. I think bitchasscracker and ososlohatch have heard it from the outside...can't remember if I turned it up for them or not.

so why did you choose to use Merlon Audio subs for?? if you were gonna do a setup like that i would have guess you would have used something like the new rockfords, MA's, kickers, lanzars, Fi, RE's, JL's, MTX or something of very high standards. i never heard of Merlon Audio though. i need to hear those subs.....
