Well, it was a good and bad day I guess. I hit my goal, mid 12's (12.7 @ 111.5mph) with a 1.9 60ft time. I was very pleased with that, but I did end up cracking a sleeve at the track. 13-14psi was the amount of boost I was running. Its been awhile since I have blown a motor, so it was kind of a shock, I was hoping it was a head gasket, but with the ammount of water that was coming out of the head/exhaust, I knew it was bad.

Dave ------- his car, after running several shitty runs. (on street tires) but I think he hit a 13.3? or 13.5? The funny part was Dave's little brother, (the guy who dressed up in a dress and offroaded the RV) was there, and raced his 4.0l automatic XJ Jeep..... and guess who won the ------- Import Invasion at PR? lol oh yes, Dave's little brother, pulling consistant 17.0 sec passes, ****** got a trophy and a gift certificate!

My first race, I raced leia! hah, it was bad, the slicks needed to get baked in real good, and they were not hooking up, I ran a 14.0 on my first run.. Kinda scared me, leia was catching up! ha!

Made about 6 runs, low 13's few 12 passes. 12.9/12.7 had good RT's for the day.. high .500's a .502 and .501

Another quick Crx out there, Built Y8 w/ drag g3 kit. ran 12.5 w/ 18psi (very good looking crx!)





Local race group (Intec Racing) showed off there crx race car, built GSR, blah blah.. pretty neat ran a best of 10.2 @ 135



very clean B16a 91 crx si, with a JDM front clip..



when the sleeve cracked, it filled the cooling system up with mass pressure, and blew a few coolant lines off.



Nollan, another guy I race with... Sentra SER w/ SR20DET swap, he ran a 12.9 last year, but best today was low-mid 13's

So whats next? built ls/vtec sleeved?..... nah.. I'm thinking B20/Vtec, when this ---- happens I always make it better than it was before. Looks like I will be rolling around a 84 ford econoline for a bit

If I would have had a block guard it still would have broke, and it would have had overheating problems, block guards are junk... proven fact, unless you weld them in, redeck the block, and rehone the cylinders.

Sucks your sleeve took a dump man. Ofcourse, no one can accuse you of not 'taking off the skirt' when it comes to turning up the boost.
