Re: 467hp 458tq rwd 5th gen monte carlo
no but seriously.. u cant compare a grand prix or a grand am to a monte carlo :l
|
Re: 467hp 458tq rwd 5th gen monte carlo
well to actually tell the truth, my parents used to own a grand prix gt and it was much better than the monte carlo we currently own. the prix had a bigger engine, better handling, and it was a 4 door with attitude. the monte is a good dd, and soon it may be my dd after my dad gets a new(used) car....................
|
Re: 467hp 458tq rwd 5th gen monte carlo
how the ---- is a grand prix better than a monte carlo are you on drugs? :l
|
Re: 467hp 458tq rwd 5th gen monte carlo
well the prix gt's have 3800 sereis engines in them, and the monte ls shown ^^^^^^^^^ only has a 3100 series engine just like my dads becasue its a ls and not a ss.........thats where i get them comparisons from.................but the monte ss is better than the prix gt if thats what u are trying to get to..................

Re: 467hp 458tq rwd 5th gen monte carlo
I don't know ---- about american cars, except what ppl tell me, but quite a few of my friends are into them and they seem to like monte carlos for the most part...

Re: 467hp 458tq rwd 5th gen monte carlo

Re: 467hp 458tq rwd 5th gen monte carlo
Buk, the Grand Prick and Mote Crapo are built on the same platform. Its called the w body. VIN starts out as 1G_W. So in essence they are pretty much the same car. :8
And oh yeah, someone has way too much money.

Re: 467hp 458tq rwd 5th gen monte carlo
My friend has a pretty well built Monte. It just ran a 10.76 @ 123.4. I think they're running a t70 turbo on it. They keep snapping the chains in the trannies though. They did on that run too and that was a beefed up tranny from zzp. He's getting one with a 1.25" chain from dynotech soon that's supposed to handle 900 HP and then the fun really starts. The 10.76 run was on Bridgestone RE 950's which is just a decent all season tire, I'd hate to see what would happen on slicks.

Re: 467hp 458tq rwd 5th gen monte carlo
Lol, so your monte is soooo much better than my old 92 gtp? :P I have driven enoughf GM fwd v6 cars to know what they drive like. :) I'd get another one for a daily if they didn't eat gas like a v8. My gtp wasn't to bad, but the grandam and my moms buicks/olds's suck ass.
|
Re: 467hp 458tq rwd 5th gen monte carlo
u got to drive a monte carlo to truely appreciate it ^-^
|
Re: 467hp 458tq rwd 5th gen monte carlo
I've driven one... they're okay at best...it's not a lambo buk ;)
the old grandams/prix/regal/lumina/etc would be about the same level IMO. No real differences. |
Re: 467hp 458tq rwd 5th gen monte carlo
omfg now your saying the monte carlo is like driving a lumina :'(
i didnt say it was a lambo but its eleventy billion times better than a friggin grand prix/grand am and i also pointed out that hitting speed limiter u dont even feel like ur going that fast! in the end were arguing about 100% stock vehicles.. so ill just shut the ---- up now :1 |
Re: 467hp 458tq rwd 5th gen monte carlo
It's a two door lumina, buk. face the facts ;D

Re: 467hp 458tq rwd 5th gen monte carlo
the interior and body parts dont, but the rest do.
|
Re: 467hp 458tq rwd 5th gen monte carlo
But alas, what came first? That's right. The lumina. Monte Carlo's stopped in 1989 and came back in 1995 as the 2 door version of the Lumina... If you think about it, the Lumina from 1990-1994 had a two door version, also called the Lumina.. so actually, if you REALLY think about it, the 1995+ Monte Carlo's are only really two door luminas.

Re: 467hp 458tq rwd 5th gen monte carlo
Are you going to boost that z34? or anything?
Stock cars are slow as balls, especially if they weigh like 3 tons and have interiors made of plastic with gastanks in the passengers seat. And roll over at 5 mph. I have exhausted my knowledge of dumbestics in that post. |

If you do get the Monte buk, please get rid of the gay emblem on the front and do something with those wheels. it just looks weird.
