It's a $1000 car. Obviously the way it came it will not beat a cavalier with 15k under the hood. Thats why you turn up the boost, swap motors, swap turbos, do whatever you have to do to make it faster. I havent put 15k into this car, i will have spent maybe 600 bucks boosting it. Once this motor goes, I plan to swap in a DOHC D, built and boosted. Then the CRX will be DONE. But i'm not about to pull the motor out of it until I blow it. I'll have fun with a high-13 second CRX this summer, and when the y8 gives out, Then I might aim for 10's.

I like hondas, don't get me wrong. But it was time to move on to something bigger and better.

Black one is my favorite. Light Rice, but Nice. I like the way the eg front end looks with a lip and frontmount.

This is my first turbo honda...Maybe after I've had a few I'll feel like moving on to something else....But not now.

Did you do all the work on the black civic yourself, and was it your first time working under the hood?

Build your 11 sec zetec, put it in a CRX.....you now have a 10 second car. lol

black car was my second civic, first was 93si hatch, on nitrous, blew headgasket, turbo'd it, fucked up interior harness, sold that crap.

I do all the work on every single one of my cars. Everything from welding the piping, to fixing the oil return and even tuning it. The only time it goes to the shop is if its getting body work.

Hondas are good starter cars, they are very easy to work on, the engineering is unrivaled, they use a certain size of nuts, 10,12,14, etc. You'll never find a 11 or a 13 on a honda, or a standard. Wish i could say that with the ------ camaro. Camaro is about 5 times harder to work on than a honda. Hondas are legos, do the work yourself, research, dont rely on ANYONE to do anything. Its your car and no one will appreciate it like you. Once you feel you've mastered hondas, or are tired of them, move onto something better.

yea the focus is the same way, half the car is put together with a 10mm. everything is really easy to work on.
