4 strokes dominate the 2 strokes plain and simple, not just cause they are doing away with them, anyone can say they ride, but do you really ride? im guessing not just some ****** who plays around and talks ---- about others, and last time i checked they made 06 2 strokes so i dont see them dissapearing anytime soon.

You can't ban an entire class of engines overnight. the rumor is 2010. 06' is the last year for the Banshee and its been banned from being sold in CA for some time now. With all the EPA regulations its not practical for factories to make them so they are not. Its easier to kill off the 2-stroke through legislation.


No I can't really ride, what side is the clutch on? You sound like one of these kids who just recently started riding and went out and bought a 4-stroke now your partial to it. I've been riding 2-strokes since I was in elementary school so I grew a little partial to them. To me 4-strokes were fun to screw around on but if your serious about going fast 2-stroke is the way to go. Judging by your posts its tough to believe that you've been riding that long with the way you talk down on 2-strokes. But I'm sure your going to say you've been riding since you were a fetus


Ask any of the people on here who actually ride like Dr. Boost and Hotrex and see how they feel about 2-strokes.

ive never owned a 4 stroke, im just stating whats true. all i have ever owned was 2 strokes and thats the way i plan to keep it. but it blows when they make rules and the 450's r huge compared to our 2 strokes and they wonder y no more pro racers want them. but whatever least u ride, im done arguing with you whitey, goodnight.

i am a 2 stroke guy, ive only owned 2 strokes. when i just bought my new bike, i had cash to buy whatever bike i wanted 2 or 4 stroke. after riding a yz250f and crf450r and a rmz450 i honeslty went and bought a cr250r. the 4 strokes while they are fast. they feel heavy, and the powerband feels lethargic to me. the plus side is, they have sweet torque and u can ride a gear taller. and shift less.

the 2 strokes were supposed to be phased out in 2003, but that didnt work. never heard anything about 2010.

and johnny, for the record, the new 4 stroke mx bikes require 2x the maintenence of a 2 stroke. this isnt an xr400 piece of ----. these are ***** out lightweight race motors pushing 14k.

honeslty, my next bike will be a s ramon edition ktm 450sx. ill have that after this season. that is the only bike ive ridden that i feel more comfortable on than a 2 stroke.

That's like saying V8 Mustangs dominate D16 Hondas(from the factory). Of course they're going to have more power with 2x the motor. It ------- better.....


2-strokes>everything else I love how everybody claims how reliable their 4 stroke is and how good it is on gas. Well, I came to ride, not get good gas mileage and run til I'm too old to care. Not only that, my bike has never broke down or blown up or really given me any problems. On the otherhand, two of my friends who ride 4 strokes have blown their motors recently. :1

they dont have to be 2wice as big, 2 strokes make the same amount of power as a 4 but being 2wice the size, if cc's r the case then y not make 450 2 strokes to race the 450 4 strokes, itd only be fair.

Ummm...the same size cc 4 stroke against the same size cc 2 stroke will give you a 2 stroke winner. :1 No question about it. 4 strokes DO NOT make the same power a 2 stroke makes so stop trying to prove your point.
