Well its around a dollar increase from last year to now so in California we should be around 4.20 a gallon for 87 if we get the same increase which Im gonna guess will be more than a dollar for next year. Good times.

YUp but at the rate were goin the economy will have to suffer greatly before action is taken. In my view I think its finally gonna be at pricing that effects the typical middle class home. |

kill the cellphone and theirs your 60 bucks a month for gas. It does suck to pay 30 to fill up though. Expecialy when i was paying like 15 a couple years ago.

The funny part is in Canada we have stupid amounts of oil sitting there.Our problem is capital to invest in more infrustructure and exploration.I think the US goverment should invest here and aim to double CDN production figures to help lower the cost of a barrel.If supply goes way up we should then see a drop in the cost per barrel in theory. :-\This also lessens the need for middle east oil as we can supply enough to eliminate any need to buy from the Sauidis etc as that area is to unstable and is going to continue to get worse.

There was an article about this in the paper yesterday. The article said that "Americans aren't phased by increased gas prices".
The article said that spending hasn't gone down, and SUV and truck sales are higher than ever. Seriously, people just aren't getting a clue about this ----. And oil companies know this, they have economists working for them. They will continue to push the price up until they see a decline in spending either on gas or other consumer goods, then the price will level off or go down. Funny that Exxon reported the highest earnings ever, yet their C.O.G.S. is higher than ever as well. Go figure. Bunch of douce bags. |

my tank was a lil under half, and a i needed a car wash cuz the tree i park under at work is pollenating again (basically it takes a ---- all over my car), so I figure $10 for gas, $6 for the standard car wash. 3.159 for 91 octane. my needle is now just over half tank as opposed to just under it was $10 ago :7
a dude from a nearby small parts store was walkin there to get some candy and snacks for the guys over there, and he stops to complain to me, and tells me about how supposedly if everyone started buying gas from the smaller companies, it will go down, since the big companies are just raking in the dough. this was at a shell, and i used to goto 76 just a block away but it shut down.. i think im gonna start going to safeway, since the gas there isn't too bad, but it's like 10 cents cheaper than shell, plus if my mom spends $50 there I get like -.05 per gallon :y |

Sales of suv's/trucks have been down for quite some time from the Big 3 us car companies. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,171108,00.html Thats a pretty old article when gas was almost a dollar cheaper. So your tellin me since gas has gone up sales of 8 mpg trucks has gone up. Once again I would love to see some proof of this magical land. |

My Dad just informed me of the $10 I spend in gas every time I go to see my girl. I took like $3 to get "emergency" gas and ended up praying I make it home and ate McDonald's. LOL. :y

the gas companies buy their oil months in advance, and when it finally gets around to being turned into gasoline, when they finally sell it as gas, if oil costs a ton and gas prices go up they make more profit because the oil they bought for less a long time ago is now worth more. the gasoline production in this country is at something like 98% of demand, if anything goes wrong they cant meet demand, and limp wristed liberals wont let them build more refineries |

Gas was $2.75 a week or so ago, now it's $2.95, Looks like when i graduate in May i need to get my Civic on the road and park my truck till winter, this might delay my turbo project but I need to be responsible till i get a decent job.
