2005 RSX-S
 

I dont know if any of you are into the RSX but i am. It going through a redesign for 2005. Its getting a new Bumpers, new front and tail lamps, new rear wing, new exterior colors, and bigger wheels( ::) ). But the best part about its getting 10 more horsepowers. So thats 210hp and 143ft/lbs of torgue. Its borrowing some internals from japan Type R so this should be a new enhanchment for the RSX-S :)

17 inch wheels with low profile tires. Oh yeah the internals it borrowed from the japan Type R are the intake manifold, throttle body, exhaust, and cams.

yeah but because the rsx has bigger wheel wells and what not. i think it needs the 17's

prob...but imo big wheels dont mean anything but for show. It would have done fine with 16's. I still think the car is hot though. its definatley going to be my next car after im done paying for this car i have now :-\

haha, intake manifold and throttle body are not internals. last time I checked they were outside the engine. ah, vtec.net, what a great site to link to.

My girlfriend test drove one the other day and she said she still likes her 03 better.

Btw, they should come with factory 18's. The wheel wells are huge on RSX's and the 19's on my girls fits nicely.

A lot of people under estimate it...i'v been driving my sisters since i sold my car and i think i'm just going to keep driving it until i find "the" deal. No matter how you cut the cake it's still a bitch car but i like it. I think i'm gonna get some springs and tires for it and see if my sister notices. It sucks ass in the twistys IMO.....

alot really. I've only seen one girl at my work drive that car. It wasn't the type S it was the base one with 160 hp. Most guys i know or seen in ohio drive the type S. I never thought of it being a girls car :-\

Every other girl around here has one...the base one obviously-the type S i don't see too many of but they look exactly the same...i think they should make them a lil bit easier to differentiate like a 325Ci V.S. M3....M3 is a monster compared to a 325Ci. I don't know this is just my opinion i really have no say cause i drive one like it's mine and the Cybernation Kit is ridiculous if you ask me.

first off, I hardly think the rsx is girly... When I think of girly cars these are the first 3 that come to mind;

1. del sol (honestly I dont think anyone should roll one of these, but I have nothing against anyone here that does)
2. jetta (all girls want or have one)
3. miata (most guys dont even fit in these)
*4. celica (failed to metion the first time around)

second, yes the RSX is a nice car but in no means is it remotely fast! I guess you could say it's a lil quicker then some of it's competition but for the price, you kind of feel took.

As far as the new 2005 goes... The changes include new style head and taillights, agressive looking body kit (which I hate), new style seats that are more plush, white faced guages, white stitching on all the leather, and some minor interior accents. And yes it did gain 10 horses but it's also heavier. I drove the new one just the other day and in no way can you tell that it has added horsepower, but then agian you wouldn't expect too.

In conlusion, I do like the 05 but will not be rushing down to the dealership to make the trade!

the rsx i hate to tell you really is a bitch car. Around where i live only chicks drive the rsx +++++ i dont like the dementions on the new or old model. the ass end i find is just to high, give me a late model integra any day over an rsx

I think that statistically the Mustang and the Mitsu Eclipse are the two bitch sports cars. The Miata just gets that name cuz of the size I think.

The RSX makes a pretty good rally car. Anyone here watch "Sports Car Revolution" on SPEED channel??? They spent an entire season making one into a rally car using all Mugen parts, and an endless budget. It was pretty sick in the end.
