2005 cadillac sts burnout question

my uncle got in a car accident with his 04 cts. wasnt his fault. so the dealer gave him a 05 sts and it wont do burn outs.

i havent driven the car yet.. but i will tomorrow... he says it cant do burn outs.

is it true the rev limiter and traction control stop the car from doing burn outs?

v8 rwd

my fried had an 00 dts, and no, it wouldn't peel out unless you REALLY tried. it was pretty cool because for a big heavy ass car it would really get it, and it handled very well. the sts system is weird because if you take a corner too fast on purpose to try and get it sideways the traction ---- will kick in and cut the throttle and engage the brakes, so it won't let you wreck it. still fun as hell to drive around though and be big pimp daddy..

Why would anyone buy a cadillac to do burnouts in it? Does this have anything to do with you being from a third world country?

My truck has something called "torque management" that prevents it from doing burnouts. :7 I can do them sometimes around corners if I hammer it quick and off the line if I give it a small amount of gas first, but then you feel the homo managment kick in and take your fun away. :(

My mom's 2006 Avalon, with the 280+hp v6 and traction control, will chirp the tires a little, but the traction control takes over and fixes the "problem" >:( :(.

It has some pep to it, for a heavy car, and its comfortable as hell.

I can only imagine that the STS has a better system, being a little more expensive and an olds peoples car.

I like the CTS a lot, and would dream of having a CTS-V but can't :'( :'(. I saw one the other day, a CTS-V, black, with some big chrome rims, but not huge, maybe 20's. It looked pretty good.

Do these not come with some kind of button to turn it off? I know my Saturn had a "traction control" button to turn it off/on...
