So you bought the car before you found all that out? so you REALLY thought you were buying a 5 year old car for 15K less than it was worth becuae it needed tires?

It is the supercharger. You are looking at the water pump drive gearbox.

BMW in their infinite wisdom decided to drive the water pump off the back of the supercharger in a sealed oil bath case.

well if thats not a tranny pic , it should be .

I got an 02 brnd spankin new for my girlfriend at the time.

It ate 3 trannies in 1 year and I made BMW canada buy it back..

Then i guess he really did think a new set of tires dropped teh price 10-15K. Sucks that you got a raw deal but damn dude, you should do a little more homework before you buy it. can you get your dough back?

I know, we all get had at least once......good thing I resold it and got what I paid for it.
