1uz 4.0 ltr n/a
Rev limiter is set at 9200.
Rods, pistons,12.5 comp, cams, cam buckets, springs, 36mm inlet, 32mm exh, raised ports, 50mm slide plate itb's, siemens piezo crystal injectors, exhaust, dry sump, motec m800, motec 8 channel cdi, etc, etc. Port roof raised 4mm, floor is untouched. Cams are based off of 330 deg, .430" lift cosworth cams. Running 98 octane pump fuel.
Intake and exhaust lengths are governed by what would physically fit in the car. As the car was designed to use the Cosworth F3000 engine and it was limited to 9000rpm I assume they are around that rpm.

car is 579kg (1273lb) less driver and fuel.

pics need registration apparantly... ill rehost them:

What do you think about the 1jz?

warric_k 08-14-2007 11:38 AM

Re: 1uz-fe N/A sex

members only forum once the link is fixed.

1jz is an inline 6, mostly used for boost... 1uz-fe is a 4.0L V8... quite different engines.

Re: 1uz-fe N/A sex

1jz-gte's?
personally... same power potential as a 2jz-ge NA-T, that costs more & is at a perminant 20% torque advantage = no reason to exist... i think the 1jz swaps are stupid myself... more costly & dont make any more power, and reliably than the NA-T 2jz-ge.

Re: 1uz-fe N/A sex

Theres a local selling complete swap minus tranny for 500 :6

I gotta ask why are you cluttering a thread about a 1uz N/A race engine by asking stupid questions about a 1jz engine?

That motor is badass. Toyota for the win!

I like how it makes upwards of 400 HP from 6000-9000 with a very flat torque curve in that area.

Re: 1uz-fe N/A sex

in nz heaps of ppl tt the 1uz, its a ------- sweet engine even stock. will take a big toyota van to a mid 14 unmodded. just swapped in. nice!

i have a mate putting a tt one into his supra soonish. hes currently boosting a citreon flat four air cooled with a t25.

the 2jz from the supra is in his hilux surf (NA 2jz, but still)

there are a lot of cool projects around with that engine. the best one i've seen is a TA celica with a skyline GTR drivetrain (yes 4wd) custom whole tunnel etc

twin turbos water to air etc etc etc. beautiful plenum etc.

just a stunning car.

wtf does 1uz-fe mean in american please. and that thing loks cool but it also looks like a pile of money

Re: 1uz-fe N/A sex

1UZ-FE
first generation
UZ engine family
-
General low angle valve angle head, low/mid range power camshaft profiles & head porting
Electronic Fuel & Ignition management.

toyota codes are easy. number designates engine generation. following letters are engine family. anything preceeding a dash tells you more specifically about the engine. google it.

Thus the reason I always thought a 22re was a 2.2 liter. Not so, gotta get the honda/nissan/etc mindset out of your head when thinking about toyotas.

Re: 1uz-fe N/A sex

Definately gona have to show that to everyone at work.

Who's building the car? Is Toyota doing it/backing it or an independant shop?

Toysrme 08-14-2007 10:29 PM

Re: 1uz-fe N/A sex

no backing. its just a member of lextreme what they've been doing at work.
they built the drivetrain (australians) to go in the race car (from england) car is down under.

you guys have those v8s in lexus cars over there dont you? did you know there is a v12? all ally 5.0 v12 short stroke.... one day one day... code is 1gzfe and they cost 4 - 6 times what the 4.0 v8 does... the v8 is a cheap engine to just buy in nz. theres lots of em.
