ok i have an ef. turbo d hmt style of course. put down 206 whp. fucker pulls. anyways. i could only run a 14.7. its my first time at track with a boosted car. heres one of my runs.

Something must be wrong because I would have guessed you would be trapping about 10mph faster and ran 13's easily with that power in an ef hatch.

the motor is also a z6 swap and was tuned without vtec cause it didnt kick in. still put down 206 whp tho. i have no clue what my problem is.

the oil pressure was low but i found out vtec didnt kick in because of my speed sensor. but 206 whp with advans should run at least a 13.9. i dont know if im just not raping my car enough or not. I have more fun with the build than the track time but seriously 14.7? do i need to beat the ---- out of it more?

i ran better in my b16 rex........just cuz i have advans doesn't mean ur going to run faster.....i mean u should with meat like that but it's all about control.........are you launching hi an spinning or bogging out???

before you hit the track again.....u should practice ur launches an keep your shifts smooth and don't overthink anything.....when i started hitting up the track when i was young i would get all nervous an excited an run crap times.....took some time and practice but eventually you find your sweet spot for launching and shift points......what tranny you running???

remember just cuz u shift your car at redline doesn't mean your still in your powerband.....---- depending on your setup you could be dropping out of it by the time you come up to redline....trap time is key...

well with vss code i heard it will not kick in. but anyways. yea i get really nervous. im running a crx si tranny. i launch and about 4k. but i didnt preload at all just dropped the clutch. i hav not got preloading down yet.

the car was overheating by the time i got to the end of the track also. had to run the heat and ----. i hooked up a fan switch now tho.

With 2.2 60' launching isn't the issue here. The issue and concern is WHY you're trapping such low speeds.....

Its pretty clear that he probably makes 200whp around 5500rpm. On any other Z6 he would hold about that power till about 7000rpm. Because he is not using vtec, he is probably making about 160-170whp at 7000rpm. Thus the reason he is running ---- times.

on the dyno sheet there is just a dip at 5500. the power still rises after the dip so i doubt i make less hp at 7k than i do at 5k. if i am wrong correct me.

the car is trapping 91, it isnt making 200WHP. its that simple.

the dyno lied or the car broke since then. 91 traps is not "pulling hard". what more do you expect without a properly running motor?

for reference my 91 si hatch with a Z6 making 200ish WHP on BBKA's uberdata bin went 13.3@102.

I ran a 14.9@95, shitty low pro tires I had a 2.6 60', z6 .63/.70 57 trim @7psi with vitara's. I ran slower at a higher speed but I had a shitty launch.

nope. its not slipping at all. maybe i just need to regap my plugs (at like 25 now) put some 91 octane in and use the fan switch so it doesnt overheat and see what happens. ---- it. its hmt. Ill run it till it dies.

91 mph is what a dohc zc running well will run in a 88-91 civic hatch. I use to trap 91 at 3000 ft elevation with proably high 120's whp with a sohc zc non vtec basic port work and a cam. Your not making any power simple.

i ran my 14.3@ 100. i dynoed at 209whp on my 18's. i tracked on some all seasons mounted on gsr rims. you or your car/dyno suck. something is wrong with your numbers. oh wait what torgue did you make? mine was making 226wtrq. i was spinning the first 2.5 gears and cuttign 2.3 60ft times.

unless your alternator was completely locked up and the belt was just spinning on it, its not causing you to loose any power.

My POS build ( the old one ) hit 171 WHP and about 150 torque ( more or less ) and i ran a good 14.6 and trapped like 96.

Still i only had a ---- 2.1 60ft. Sumting is wong foo!
