Re: 137 mph in a civic
according to the speedo on the del sol i put it vertically down perpendicular to the ground which is about 150-155ish if the numbers kept going.
Gotta love them LS trannies. still had 600-700 rpms left.
It gets ------- scary when your almost at redline in 5th gear.

When the chassis lifts 1.5" inches and the wind noise suddenly goes away...Thats when you need to slow the ---- down.
Fastest ive ever been on the streets was 168mph on my dad's GSXR 750 (inaccurate speedos from what I understand...) and 172mph in a 996 twin turbo, which I wont be doing again, as it was ------- stupid (obviously not my car...) and you cover ALOT of ground at those speeds. I ran 5 miles in what seemed like no time at all.

Maybe because I am grown up?

I think he told you to grow up (because it was funny) and its naive to suppose that driving down the freeway in heavy traffic @ 65 miles an hour (or 90) is somehow safer than driving 140 miles an hour down the same road with no traffic, so by attempting to prove your maturity you succeeded only in displaying your naivety.

I said I haven't taken the crx to 100. This is true.
I said I don't have a reason to go that fast, and that I've been 90 to keep up with traffic. Thus, I had a reason.
Since when was making a true statement an attempt to prove maturity? In that case, you're a ********. Ooh, feeling more mature already.
