Well about 3 weeks ago i bought my first new car, 0 miles 07 Civic Si Sedan, I was going to buy the Fit but it was to small and to gay, i needed something small with decent gas mileage to get to work and they gave me a good deal on the SI. Well i was happy as ---- i mean 2.0 liter 197hp K20Z3, was just begging "rape me" but i had to break her in first.
I had just reached the 600 mile mark, when this ---- happend. Never even hit VTEC

Stoped to get a cup of coffee, I was nearing the exit of the parking lot when some ass clown in an early 90's mercedes 320 (tank of death) plows into me at about 25-30miles, He didnt see me, so he never hit the brakes, all i heard was a loud pop (side curtain airbags) fallowed by tires screaching, well my car is is ------- undrivable, the other guys grill just cracked, his bumper bent a little bit and his turnsignals cracked, and that was it.

Well heres the damage: (resale value is going to suck ass)

Deflated airbag
Torn roofliner
Fucked up door (wont open, or close right)
fucked up fender
Fucked up bumper
bent rim
gouged tire (rubed the shock)
broken strut assembly
bent LCA
bent Tie rod
Steering Rack is fucked
Fucked up Axle
And a bunch of other little MIsc. ---- here and there.

You're just lucky it wasn't me in my Caprice. Or maybe not, atleast it would have been completely totalled then.

If they consider it a complete loss definitely rip that motor/trans/ecu/ other ---- out of that car and make a buck.

An '07 not even broken in K20Z3 or whatever it is would pull some serious chop on HT.

im seriously considering getting a lawyer if the insurance company starts acting gay. I did bump my head on the door pilar and blacked out for second (like when you get punched in the head).... i was dazed cause that fucker came out of nowhere without warning so its not like i braced for impact. I got hit, I saw the car backing up away from mine, i thought he was going to take off so i got out quick but i was all dazed and ---- and was stumbling, so the guy thought i was hurt.

I took a ---- load of pictures, Tommorow im taking pictures of the parking lot where it happend, taking measurements, pictures of the skid marks, arial photos etc etc. to build up a case against the guy. IM talking to the claims adjuster on monday to see whats up.

I just want 2 things, I want the car fixed at the dealership or a dealer authorized shop, so i know that ---- is going to get worked on right. Or i want a new car if that ---- is going to cost too much to fix, hopefully they'll let me buy the car back on the cheap, ive seen k-series engines go for around 5k especially this one with such low miles.

It used to be, that when you went to resale a car, that there really wasn't a way to check it's history. So all used cars were worth about the same amount, by default. These days, a prospective buy can check the history of any car, and know if it's been wrecked or not. So if you were looking at two identical cars, and one had been wrecked and repaired, while the other one hadn't, you would place a higher value on the un-wrecked one, right? I think most people would.

This means that no matter how good of a repair you have done to the car, it will never be worth what it was before Mercedes Moron wrecked it for you. In my personal sense of fairness, you need to be compensated for this loss of value, or you need a brand new replacement car. This should come from Mercedes Moron's insurance company, or from Mercedes Moron himself. You had a brand new unwrecked/unrepaired car before the accident, and you should have one after, or be compensated for the difference. It's not right that you get penalized with a lower value repaired car, because of his mistake and he "didn't see you".

I would start pushing the insurance company for a replacement car. If they hedge, get a personal injury lawyer. You never know what kind of problems will come later in life, if you got hit hard enough to black out. >:D

blacked out? oh man you've got this made. you can sell that easy. yeah its shitty about your car but thats what insurance is for. they will pay to get it fixed or at least replaced, if not theres where the lawyer comes in, its cake, you've got medical charges, and repair charges, this guys up ---- creek.

Absolutely do not talk to the other parties insurance company. I just got in a huge wreck a couple weeks ago and only had liability. We are now sueing the woman, but her insurance company is shady as ----. my advice is to get in contact with a good attorney and avoid talking to the other parties insurance. also, airbags are expensive as piss to replace...on my 98 civic, the quote was something like 1200 just to do drivers and passenger front airbags in parts alone

The airbags for my 95 civic were even more because they have to replace both airbags and some kind of computer that controls them, so I can't imagine what an 07si's airbags cost. You might get away with totaling the car-- I got $700 to replace my driver side fender when a girl backed into it. All your parts you need to replace from Honda is going to add up fast, and if it comes to more than the value of your car, its totaled-- hello new car. What I would do if you don't plan on ever selling it, or at least not for a long time, I would take the money they gave me and fix it myself for way cheaper. Use the extra to see how much boost those k's will take 8) Thats just me though, and I'm a ghetto mofo

Hate that ---- when people stop to make a turn and everyone is moving traffic. Especially on I-5 going to I-405 people just stop right on the freeway to make a turn, and almost makes the whole freeway hit them, pisses me off.

Well if you got a loan they usually cover you with the dealers insurance for two weeks or something. Deal with the insurance company. As far as fixing it.. ---- that bro. Its not a ------- buick. Hondas drive like ---- after they have been smacked like that.

It probably would, but will it run like that for more than 3 years, doubtfull. I know a Honda is going to pretty much run forever, how long will the cobalt last before random ---- starts breaking, the interior starts falling apart, etc...

ITS a 1982 Buick regal it will get and go, run you over and go some more. 350 flat tap, rollers, vortec heads, demon carb, air gap intake, turbo 350 trans, 9 inch or 12 bolt haven't decided yet. im gonna boost it after the CRX gets boosted, god loves 350s on 15 pounds.
I want lower then 11 seconds and that really hard in a front wheel drive.(at least from what i have seen)
