----, welding is one of those things I'll always want to learn but never will because I don't feel like paying that much for the equipment.

I recently bought one of these for ~$370:

I don't even know what to do with it

Why was moltar brought up lol...

What I started with was
Lincoln 240V 225A AC 'buzz box' stick welder $100
Fibermetal hood $25
10 lbs of 6010, 6011, 6013 $30
Gloves $7
Chipping hammer $5

Total cost $162

What I have now

Lincoln SP-135 Plus $800
Shielding gas cylinder $100
Sellstrom hood $60
Speedglas Utility $190
Speedglas Adflo $1300
Leathers $70

And after that and other random ---- I have roughly $6000 worth of equipment. Next I will get a Lincoln Precision TIG 225 for $3000 and Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 51 for $2060. I will be selling flanges, custom turbo manifolds, and reworking manifolds on the mad cheap.
