Hi Guys,
We all know that the stock d-series rods are very weak and canīt handle more than 12psi.

If I change the rods , how much boost can I go with stock pistons?

you're going to want to change them both. for the most part I see people break their ringlands before I see them break rods. I'd think about a set of pistons too, you might as well if you're already getting in there.

 

Stock cast pistons are pretty weak, and whenever you run into small amounts of detonation, the ring lands will break. But if its properly tuned, they should hold around 15psi. But as said above, your better going with a piston/rod combo. Cover your *** in the long run.
