are you happy with your setup?

Re:are you happy with your setup?
Well, I'm in the process of "doing it over again". I didn't like anything about my setup, plus my block was all fucked up from a blockguard.
This time around there will be no blockguard, a bigger turbo, a cleaner install, TurboEdit for FM tuned with a WB(instead of an AFC), and a straight frame with a radiator support. I will also not be driving this one under the influence. That just ***** ---- up.....

Re:are you happy with your setup?
I'm in the same boat as Doc. I was boosted for a little while, started breaking and blowing things up and now I'm building it bigger and better. I expect to have it complete by mid June. I think while building my first project I learned what not to go cheapass on

Re:are you happy with your setup?
I love my set up!
The only things I need to do is to re-do all my exhoust, move my oil cooler(it heat soaks the radiator),and install my clutch that has been sitting in my garage for 2 weeks now :P

I'm happy with it. Although, If I could start over i woulda bought a shitbox CRX and boosted the D. i'm WAYYY to paranoid about my 2001 GSR. If i kill the B, then i'm helluh in debt. I blow up the D, I don't buy as much beer that month, and i'm good to go.

it's hella not helluh....jeez...
and my system blows goat bawls, that's why it's off the car... incidentally, don't use jbweld on your turbo fee line port, i just unbolted mine and the entire oriface was block with the stuff...aka NO oil to turbo, good thing the oil line kept blowing off so I didn't drive it but like a mile.

As far as set-up ? I love it. Right turbo, right IC, right power, and right BOV. Wrong clutch and wrong tires.
I emtied my crankcase twice b/c the oil feedline busted.

Re:are you happy with your setup?
I love my setup. The cost was low and the output was good...191whp and 172ft lb torque.
Things I would do different:
1. Buy better oil line. First rubber one blew off once but it was my fault. I did not tighten it properly.
2. Better IC. Currently I have a DSM side mount.
