It'll be a hell of a lot easier to find the flanges, lines, ect.. for that one than the CT26.
hmmn.. this seems like it would be the best bet for me.... is there any other cars that the t3 came on?, cause turbo-brids are kinda rare around here

Not that rare.

An early 80's nissan/datsun came with a 60/63 also. Just has a bastard of a DP Flange!

Also too small of a turbo puts it out of it's effeciency range, which causes excessive heat in the charged air, which mean blown engine sometimes.

CT26 will only get you to 270-280 whp (i know, i own a mr2) and it maxes out at around 16-18psi after that just hot air. you can get a CT20b off a supra and it will get you to 290-300whp at about the same pressures (some guys are making 300whp with it but very few) ATS Racing has put out a turbo based on the CT26 called the CT27 and it will support over 300hp.

i dont know about a ct only getting 240hp... i have a .63/.60 t3 and if ------- dwarfs my turbo. plus, any engine running 16-18 psi better be making more than 240 hp. ---- most stock d's running 12psi go to like 230. i think a ct26 would be pretty good for that car. i have a few of them here if you need a flange or something made let me know, im in a advanced cnc class this semester and we get to make whatever we want.

psi does not equal horsepower.... you can make a small turbo put out a lot of pressure but that does not mean it will make a lot of power... you can push a KO3 to 22psi but it only makes about another 15-20hp than when you run it only at 16psi... 20hp for 6psi is not good...

we just turboed my friends probe, with a klze swap using the stock manifold and a t-25, i was suprise at how decent the car moves with that small turbo, but still the turbo doesnt hold all the way throuhg, hes upgrading to a big 16g this month, ill try and get some pics.
Yes let me know how that works out. My cousin did a Mazda Millenia it too has the KLZ engine with a CT-26 supra turbo and it ran pretty go od but before we coulddyno it threw a rod. But theKLZ-e Japanese engine mayhave a little more ***** than the KLZ. I would bevery interrested in how that works out for you.

a ct26 is NOT a small turbo, thats what i said in my thread! i have a .63/.60 and at 12 psi that thing was probably making 230hp. at 18 with a ct.. well maybe ill just have to use one to prove you wrong

Would a MKIII Supra CT26 turbocharger be "ok" on a 2.5 V6?
Yes. CT's are modified Garrett T3 hardware built by Toyota.

On a '94 1mz-fe:
Running real lean (14.2) it was making 240whp (310bhp) @ the stock wastegate's 5psi.
When richend out some to 12.8 & spun up to 10psi:

That's 345bhp on the other side of Toyota's ineffecient v6 A/T @ 10psi.

It'd be a great factory turbo to run on yours. Just leave it at 5psi.

(7M-GTE's) CT-26
Rated Flow Capacity:
437cfm (33lb/m)
Compressor A/R Ratio:
0.70 A/R
Exhaust A/R Ratio:
0.50 A/R
Compressor Trim:
40-trim
Bearing Type:
Full-Floating bearing
Optimum Boost Level:
8-10psi
Max Recommended Boost:
14psi
Water Cooled:
Yes
Estimated HP (7M-GTE):
300-320bhp @ 12-14psi

7M-GTE (North American/European):
Displacement:
2954cc
Horsepower:
232bhp@5600rpm - 5psi/0.35bar

Torque:
245ft-lb@3200rpm - 5psi/0.35bar

Bore:
83mm
Stroke:
91
Compression Ratio:
8.4:1

The MR2 & mark3 supra share CT26's. The only main difference is that the Supra(7m-gte) turbo is single entry, mr2 (3s-gte) is dual.
The CT27 is a joke. It is a widely done modification to machine a 57trim T04E compressor & clip the exhaust turbine. That company does the same thing everyone else does, calls it a CT27 & has people pay more for the same thing.

That being said ya, if a stock CT26 isn't large enough, have someone clip the turbine & put a new compressor in it.
The same car above with a 57trim T04E & 7* clipped turbine made 320whp & blew the first transmission. 320whp slightly lean melted a ring & took the second transmissions third clutch, 375whp burned every clutch out in the A/T, melted another ring & burned a hole in a piston.

(57trim T04E & 7* clipped turbine)

the klze has the same block as the kl03 except with higher compression pistons. on probetalk they say it could possibly handle 14psi.... but im not even gonna try.. i wanna run about 7...
