I currently have a d16z6 (with stock intake manifold).. and have a y8 manifold that I'd like to swap it out for. Im running t25 on 8lbs of boost.

I have talked to a few people, who all have different opinions on the matter. I wanted to know what you people think.. and if you feel it will help me, or hurt me, as far as power gain.

 

y8 vs z6

not a lot off difference. stick with what you have.

 

if running boost, better figure out how to add 7-10% extra fuel to #3 cylinder.

NA, Z6 intake is better, but what do I know.

 

i always thought the y8 mani's were better considering the plenum/runner size an length,and also in sport compact car or another mag they recently did a test on a y7 equiped civic swapping to a y8 mani and gained 15 whp on the swap so as far as better i would say the y8 if you are starting with a y7.

 

The way I see it, a D series, t25 and 8 lbs. It aint worth it. Your better off selling the y8 and banking some $$.

exactly. You will need a new gasket possibly plus all the work of taking it off and ----. Just sell it and call it good.

if being slow = pretty badass, I'd rather be normal and fast.
