hey guys! me and my bro just finished the turbo ona 88 civic lx(4door).
stock d16a8 with dohc zc tranny, flywheel shaved to 13 or 14 lbs.

chiped ecu
the boost gauge reads 6-7
with open dp
we took it to the track and the best time he got was 15.33 and im very :3.
he said the tires were spining a lot on 1st shifting at 7k.
what can i do to improve the time and grip the tires are bfgoodrich at 20 psi no ic.

With better front suspension and less wheel slip you might be able to knock a 14, but don't expect anything more really :P

THE CAR HAS BLUE TOKIKO'S and sprint lowering springs all arround we cut the springs more like to 3 or 3.5 and i really was specting atleast flat 15's in like 20 runs we just couldnt :-\.

Why the ---- did you cut the lowering springs? How low is this riced out piece of ---- sitting? What are you running for a clutch?

7psi =..you guessed it. our old friend teh gay.

I've had 2 boosted EF hatches. Both ghetto, 1 was a 14 sec car and the other was easily a 13 sec car but never ran it.

its dragging the ground

15.3 at 89 mph from a 4door(not heavy, buy heavier than a hatch or CRX) w/ a Rhb5 @ 6-7 pounds of boost doesn't sound too bad to me either...I might be wrong but isn't 7k rpm's a lil bit out of the turbo's efficiency range...I've learned that sometimes just because you can rev to a high rpm doesn't mean you should, your powerband may not be alllll the way up at 7k rpm's, it might be making more power at a lower rpm...If it makes you feel ANY better, the best I could do in my 93 LX 5.0 when it was BONE STOCK was 15.2 @ 91mph, I totalled the car out b4 I got to bolt my goodies on and bring that time down...

clutch is act stage2, that doesnt seem to be a problem. Attachment 27484 the car doesnt drag. but my balls hurt when i get off it :y

I absolutely love the way those cars look, you really probably need bigger injectors, what kind of engine management are you using?

Edit: I see that you have a chipped ecu but what are you using to tune it? you at least put a wideband on it?

The fact that you have it lowered so much doesn't help your traction...you've probably got so much negative camber that you only have a pencil strip wide contact patch. :-X

get an ic.....ditch that gay suspension, ---- put stock back on, better than cut lowering springs. get some 450s, get a tune on like ~10 psi, have fun.
