would you say my engine is cool to turbo?

Re:would you say my engine is cool to turbo?
oh I was very serious!
thanks for the doc
'im pretty damn sure its the water pump now,
because thats the exact area its coming from(although the belt cover is there so its kinda dripping down through that).
I'm no mechanic, I'm basically learning as I go,
so I know only what I've had to learn.
never had to mess with the water pump at all, so had no reason to know where it was.

I was just messin' with ya.
It's probably leaking out of the weep hole(located on the water pump :P ). It leaks out of this when the seal goes bad. It could also just be the gasket. Either way you're in for a fight taking the timing cover off to get to it. If you're no mechanic then I suggest you pick up a manual and figure out how to do it because a shop will bend you over and stick it in dry to change the water pump.

Re:would you say my engine is cool to turbo?
i thought u said you wernt leaking a drop on the ground?
i wouldnt turbo the engine, if you are learning as you go. because you will end up learning howto rebuild an engine real soon like that. read up more before you turbo it. you dont want to have any cooling issues with your car before, or after you turbo it. so make sure everything is top notch

Ah ok, so if its the weep hole, then I'd need an entire new water pump?
I saw this on ebay, price is VERY right!
not sure if it comes with a new gasket though, i'd want that. what do you think?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33604
and, dont wory guys,
i'm no mechanic, but i'm not inept.
pretty sure I should be able to do the pump replacement fine.
I had a delta 272 cam in there for a while, that I put in and took out myself. As I said I learn as I go,
I learned a crapload doing that. Although its probably why my waterpump is bad, haha.
I tried starting the car with the dizzy flipped 180 a buncha times before I figured what the prob was(naturally it wont start up like that), and I read somewhere that can damage the waterpump!
OH and yes, I almost never notice puddles under my car.
from what i've read the water pump will only leak when the car is running, and usually I only check under the car when i'm working on it.. and I pull it off the street to do that.. SOOooo if there was a puddle left right after I turn it off, it gets left behind on the street
WHOOO! lotsa typin, hopefullly you guys understand the Tadman now, haha.

It looks good. I'd try to get it for $9.99 plus shipping. Even at the Buy it now price it's a good deal. No gasket though.

Bullshit, you save a penny. :P I don't know what I was thinking. And to think, math is my strong subject.
It doesn't list a gasket so I am assuming it doesn't come with it.
