a few things i just bought.....
1) 14b (td05h) w/ min shaft play w/ exahust housing,
1) 1st gen DSM BOV (uncrushed) w/ elbow,
4) 450 blue tops.

here's the story,
there's a guy about 5 miles from my house that has 3 dsm's in his drive. 2 weeks ago i seen that he was stripping one, and decided to stop by. to my dismay, nobody was home.
so, now it's 2 weeks later, and "something" tells me to go pay this guy a visit. so i drive the 5 miles and he's standing in the doorway before i even get up to the house. now he's prolly thinking "who the ---- are you, and what the ---- do u want?"
i introduce myself and inquire him about his cars, and ask if there's any chance he's got any extra "Turbo Shyt" laying around, and he say's "ohh yea"!!! so we go into his garage and he's got 3 turbo engines torn the ---- apart. now's the time i start naming the stuff that i needed off. and he starts rummaging thru all his boxes. w/ in 30 seconds i got the items mentioned above... but, i got to pick what turbo i wanted... all of them 14b's.
turns out the guy has 3 more dsm's at his mom's house, and lots of parts.... (possibly helpful in the future for a select few) the guy bought his house 6 months ago, and lost his job 2 months ago, so i decide i'm gonna capitalize off of this and offered to buy those items for the price of................



$100.00 and he said OK

yeah, mabye i shoulda offered more, but he seemed to like that figure. so i didnt argue. i cut him a check for $70 and gave him $30 in cash, cause he needed to go up to the store and didn't have any money. we bullshitted for about 20 minutes more and then i left.

in the end, i got all of those parts for $100., helped someone out in need, and made a new friend.... damn what a good Sunday!

Did you tell him you were gonna finally put those dsm parts on a fast car? Hahaha Don't feel bad about lowballing him, he's a dsm guy, they deserve it.

That's a nice find and a pretty good deal as well. I paid that for my t3($30 u-pull in Toronto), dsm 450's(dsmtrader $35 shipped) and my 1st gen DSM bov(dsmtrader $35 shipped), but it took about 6 months and a 2 hour drive to do it. Then I went and ruined it all by paying $70 for a new exhaust housing But it sounds like the better deal is the possibility of having a new tuner friend.

Why don't you just buy all his left over parts? You could sell them all to us for a good price or make some cash on eBay.

definitaly thinking about it... but he'll get fair value for it. i don't wanna take advantage of the guy. but i can gaurntee that i'll make something off of it!
