Default Wierd boost problem *PROBLEM SOLVED*

I am working on an LsVtec swapped del sol, with an ssautoshit kit on it This think wont make over 3psi of boost and I cant figure out why. The wastegate is NOT opening, and as far as I can see there are no exhaust leaks, this is all brand new with fresh gaskets. I pulled the piping off at the TB and there is plenty of pressure there while bouncing it off the launch control. I noticed it has an aftermarket exhaust cam gear and it appears to be retarted about 4*, would this stop it from spooling any farther? thats about the only thing I can think of other than a leaky intercooler, but I will leak check the entire chargepiping tomorrow. Also the base timing may be retarted a few degrees, but i'll doubble check that tomorrow also.

pulling down the highway in 4th gear, no more than 3psi, could aftermarket exhaust cam gear be the cause?

Thats what I was thinking, but I have very little experience with aftermarket gears.

This is NOT my car, I'm helping a friend tune it.

I never thought of that, wow this is possible I'm gonna write that down, lol.

I dont think the exhaust cam gear retarted a few degrees would make much of a diff, I guess I could try setting it back. Is there any special procedure to lining up the timing on a LsVtec? its a b18b bottom end with a GSR head on it OBD1
