Can someone identify this turbo:





The only info that i've got from the seller is:

Garret
M27
A/R 42.32

I think its a T3 turbo, but it was from a diesel

is this one good for a d16z6

measure the turbo inlet flange and let me know. it looks like a t4 flange which would make sense if it was on a diesel. if it is then its definitely too big for a car gas engine especially your smaller 1600. stick with a t3 turbo. you may want to look for a t28, gt30, t3/t4.

 

its a ta03 or tbo3 but for more generic purposes its a t3 but like you said its off a diesel , probably a generator of some sort

 

M27 designates the metal content in the compressor cover.

From the looks of it, it has a single V-band exhaust flange. So it definitely looks like a larger T4 turbo. A measurement of the exhaust opening, as well as the compressor trim, would geratly help us find out what it really is
