Hey just wondering who all threw a rod? or sent a piston? spun a baring? just wondering cause maybe i can learn from others mistakes. Im getting ready to start my car up and drive it as soon as i get the resistor in and the exhaust done. I heard of people blowing ---- up the first time they drive it. What happned with some people on here? what went wrong?

+1 for that, my pistons did the same thing, and suon a bearing, a another motor i fried the rings, but hey its a D series i can pick them up a dime a dozen, H22 is a different story, make sure you have oil in there constantly. -Ben

me too on a good motor 10+psi #3rod broke i searched for it on the road and cant find it

Just dont get cocky with boost and make sure your tuned for whatever boost level your running and you will be fine.. The reasons I always blew mine (rod/sleeve) whatever, is because I just get cocky with boost, and am greedy :-X

I've never had problems with my suzuki bottom end, but I've lost a head gasket to massive overboost (20psi boost gauge pegged, boost presumed to have been in the 25-30psi region.) and overadvanced ignition.

damn i didnt think that many people fucked ---- up. Im running 7psi T04e hybrid .57 .48 with 450 injectors and a 255 fuel pump. And a SAFC 2 to control it all. Think i will make it threw summer and some of fall. cause then im shipping my motor out to get built for 15 psi.

its impossible to get a good pic of it but the top of the piston is actually pretty think.

Been busy, I actually got a job at a shop, then quit cause the boss was an a-hole, and I needed to start doin' better in school. New girlfriend, you know, ---- like that.

The Rolla's still running, although barely (1 broken piston, haven't fixed it yet) and rusty as ---- cause of these damn Wisconsin winters.

That's some nasty pre-ignition damage. If it were detonation, I'd expect to see it on the ring lands/outer edges of pistons. Sad...

Too much detonation while running at the track leads to that. The pieces fell into my hands. Damn Blow ring lands. :P
