White Smoke mystery...
Yeah, it does feel more steamy. And today after school, it wasn't as cold out as the rest of the week, and sure enough, today my car barely smoked. This could be it.
Dr. Boost gave me some a hint, told me to start the engine cold and open up the rad. cap... and if the coolant was bouncing around erratically my head gasket could be shot... well it was perfectly still (the coolant)
I'll get the new oil this weekend.

is it white smoke or blu/gry? white is water so it would have nothing to do with engine tolerances. is there oil in the water or water in the oil. I still would be using synthetic oil though. also maybe a stupid question but could your water lines to and from the turbo be bass akwards?
well even though I am new to this forum, I have had this exact problem... have u checked ur compression
I thought my head gasket was gone but then I spotted a bit of oil on the bottom of the o2 housing of the turbo... the main oil seal was blown and my oil pressure was almost the exact same as urs... try looking for oil seeping out of the turbo into the housing...i.e. take off o2 housing and see if there is oil in there if there is then u have a bad seal my friend... try another turbo... btw what kind of turbo do u have??
That's just my .02 cents worth.. Like I said, I experienced that so that's what I am going with.... try it out and let me know what u figured out.... if u need another turbo I might have one lying around

I had initially thought this, and your points are very good, but the smoke is white, and not blue which would be from smoke. AND, some days, with the same oil pressure of 75 psi, it won't smoke at all, even when i start it cold... Im stumped.
Mine does the same thing.
Does it smell sweet?
Or does it smell the same if you were to pour some oil on a hot exhaust manifold?
Mine is from oil getting past the seals on teh exhaust side of the turbo. It only happens in cold months and I am not sure why that is the case.
