Default when i thought NOTHIN else could go wrong

ok so its been already 3 and 1/2 months since ive driven my car. i finally fixed the oil pan leak today with a new oil gasket that i had to pay like almost $40 for from the dealership. then i start the car with the dp off just to check and make sure that there is no more oil leak, and oil squirts all over my engine bay from the dp. i guess it might be the seals or i might need an oil restrictor, or maybe a combination of the 2. either way it sucks.

^ well not really actually. i have to still install my z6 mani, i have to cut and weld a charge pipe to fit the new z6 mani. i have to probably take apart turbo from your mani and buy a new one. which means i have to break the welds, then im gonna have to sand it down with a belt sander or something to get the extra weld off.

well i guess its not TONS of work, but it seems like alot when you havent driven your car for almost 4 months, and are going to school, and workin 1 and tryin to find a second job too. but i guess it'll be done one day. im just tired of drivin my parents suburban around for the time being, gas is killin me.

I'm with David. It's HMT set-up. What do you expect? "...apples to oranges..." is all I heard from one guy "...buy a supercharger..." all kinds of crap. You'll be immensly proud of yourself when you do it. Good luck. We are all here to help.

I been there to there was some days I wanted to give up and sell off the parts. In the end it makes it so worthwile and that satisfaction of watching the boost gauge climb will make those hard days fade away fast. Now get back in the garage and make it happen!

i was in the same boat as you 3-4 months down for the install. just finally got it out this weekend for some good running. Stock clutch is just about gone. i need t clamps and my cars slightly overheating and i have to drive with the heat on. when i get those problems fixed its gold. I know the exact feeling your describing when your sitting in somthing you built with your blood sweat and tears

yea no way could i find a kit to rebuild it too. ive had enough of a hard time even finding info on this turbo. it came off the 88-89 volvo 700 series, and i even went to volvo to pick up like o-rings and stuff for it, and they didnt even have what i needed. so i will maybe try to see if i can keep the compressor side which seems fine, and maybe buy a used T3 or maybe even just like the exhaust side off a 60 trim. so i could have like a 52/63. but that means i have to make a whole new dp and a whole new dp flange.

i guess ill be done in a few more months.
