Its not the lazy or smart way, thats the WRONG way.

your an idiot running a pcv valve on a healty engine doesn't hurt ---- as long as you have a valve cover breather so it can vent anything the pcv vavle might leak.
You my friend just made yourself look stupider then you already are, "anything PCV vallve might leak"? WTF, you keep running your ****** style PCV. HAHAHA in the future just stfu and refrain from trying to look smart it obviously backfires your *** you impotent ***.

Sorry guys but I'm a little slow. There's a line connected to the manifold for a vac source, okay got that. The other side of the line connects to the vavle cover, why? I thought we were trying to vent the crank case, what connects to the crank case to vent it?

if you are getting pressure in the crank case it could be because the PVC valve is not working correctly, or you have some kind of crankcase breather than is plumbed into your intake tract.

so cutting the hose to the pcv works better because nothing can get trapped in the crank case now? How can it get trapped in the crank case if it has big holes that lead strait up through the head in to the valve cover for oil drain back? unless you have enough blow by that the hole in the valve cover for the breather filter is to small to vent off all the presure causing it to be restrictive. Like I said if the motor is healthy your ok. If you have blow by like a bitch then aditional venting will be needed.

as for "all a breather filter does is let the pressure out of the head once it's ALREADY BLOWN BY your rings" were else do you get crank case pressure from?

you should tell all the car manifacturers that there turbo cars cant run pcv systems because they are unaware of your new age vast mechanical knowlage. Evey turbo car produced in the last 20 years have pcv systems. Way to be a sheep though.

Which is why that thread I posted from d-series is stickied, it uses oem turbo car parts for PCV and it works apparently.

blowy by is pressure moving UP past your rings in to the head, not moving down from the head in to the crank case which is what it sounds like you're thinking. crank case pressure is from moving parts in the rotational assmebly (mostly the bottom of the pistons) pumping up and down so fast creating pressure inside the crank case, which if too great, will blow up past your rings. the health of a motor has nothing to do with this. yest PCV systems are good, but no stock honda pcv systems are not good at all for boost. you can argue that as much as you want by saying 'stock boosted cars run pcv systems', yeah, they were designed for boosted cars that see positive manifold pressure. stock hona pcv is not good for boost, period. he asked what the best way to avoid crank case pressure was, and the easiest way is to open up the crank case vent tube and let the pressure vent out of there.
