Default What would kill 3 turbos in a row?

The first one is obvious. Oil line blew on the highway, drove for a KM to pull over, no oil reaching the turbo. Okay whatever, bad mistake, replaced line.

Bought a new turbo off someone local. Put in on with an oil restrictor, went to the track, it blew first run, smoking like a mother ******, huge side to side play. My oil return line had a slight kink, this is a possibility of what happened. Sent it out to Blaast, rebuilt, got it back.

Put on new oil pan, with perfect drain line setup, changed oil. Put the new turbo on today, with the provided restrictor, runs great boosts hard for an hour, then BAM, starts smoking, some side to side play.

What the ---- is going on?

Are you sure you have good flow of oil through the feed line?Try tapping a oil pressure guage inline.Got any pictures of the drain setup?

make sure oil is coming out of the line with engine running.
make sure drain is ABOVE oil level
make sure your restrictior is not completly closed.
make sure you are not using CDM turbos
make sure you are not over spinning your turbo

Its a T3, 60 trim, .63 exhaust. The drain line is as high on the oil pan as I could get it. I used the restrictor provided with the turbo from Blaast, it is solid and non-adjustable.

definitely something oil system related. you might have kinked your feed line behind the block or something, definitely check and make sure you're getting oil thru it. inspect that restrictor too, it might be clogged up or something.

if your pcv valve is connected to the manifold still it will cause crank case pressure....
