What is this washer for? Came with external wastegate

What is this washer for? Came with external wastegate

My ext. WG came with 2 of these washers, what the hell are they for? It seems like all they would do is prevent something from sealing tightly. Here's a pic of one

probably funky lockwashers for the wastegate to flange bolts, the expansion and contraction from getting soo hot can make them come loose. Same thing with turbo manifolds

I have seen washers like that b4, but I can't remember for what. Lot of help huh :1

I would assume that it is pretty soft metal and the bends will come out. My guess is locking washer.

It came with 4 regular washers which are for the banjo fittings, and then these 2 mystery washers.
