I am building a Kit for a supra and i am wonderign what Tuning, turbo, and injectors to get

i was thinkin

8inch JRC
SAFC <<<i dont know what to use
t3/t4 60 trim 70 a/r
2.5 inch custom piping
custom oil lines
hks ssqv

will this be sufficent? ive only dotn kits on Integras

If your gonna use an SAFC make sure you get somthing like msd btm to retard the ignition under boost.

if its a non turbo, run the turbo ecu and harness. Use a lexus afm and 550-650 cc injectors. Run nothing less than a big t3/t4. That thing is a 3.0I6. the turbo guys dont run anything but a straight t4 >:D My buddy has one, but those things are heavy as hell, and even 550 hp wont get you into the 12's ;D

If he was going to go so into it where hes changing out the entire harness, megasquirt might be a better solution. I dont know any mk3 supra guys so i dont know much about running the lexus afm also

megasquirt isnt as easy at it seems. an extensive knowledge of efi wireing and tuning is required to get everything running correctly. swapping the harness isnt that hard of a job. the lexus afm is already calibrated for 550cc injectors, and tuning an adjustment screw on it will allow it to run 650's. the stock 440's wont go too far in hp goals. i think 280?

well its the same gate maf on both cars isint it? on the 7mge and the 7mgte. the 7mge has the same maf as my 3sge. and swaping a harness on a toyota is a pain in the ass, how toyota has that thing routed.

Not gonna lie, it is a bitch. the harness runs under the intake manifold and all around in the engine bay. Your best bet is to swap to a 7mgte head and intake manifold and harness. this way you will have dis ignition and basically a 7mgte engine. save those na cams for the gte engine though!

regardless how much work this is to do, its going to be much easier than getting megasquirt to work on that car. trust me on this one. I dont think one person on the megasquirt forum has got a well running 7mgte.

it isnt gonna be a lot of boost. I think im just gonna go with a t4 turbo and safc.

Do u need to retard the ignition timing? I am think just bigger injectors, not really boostin over 15 psi. I know NOTHING about these engines, but i would think that they are all forged?

na engine isnt forged, the turbo one is. If your gonna run an afc, id still switch to the lexus afm (its MUCH larger) get 550's, and use a t3/t4.

Tell your buddy to learn to drive. They run flat 12.0's in the 425-475 whp range, on slicks.

my buddy has one, but not a 550 hp one. I was just saying their heavy as ----. Ever hear that joke about the supras... whats the difference between a 550, 750, 950hp supra? They all run 11's ;D

and damn buys supras run of air flow not map systems, they dont work like hondas

and no you cant just swap the injectors, you need to pair the MAF sensor to the injectors.

shitty part about them is that the AEM standalone is one of the only tuning options other than piggybacks.

He has the 3 liter 7mgte motor in it. So i am gonna have to find some1 to do it, this is what harder than what i was thinking it would be.

Like what was said before. Lexus V8 AFM, 550cc injectors, and an AFC. That is the easiest way to run higher boost. The Lexus AFM will also get rid of the boost cut at ~12psi (but the stock ct-26 is only efficient up to about 15psi). It will push the cut up to about 25psi I believe. Suprasport.com sells aftermarket lexus AFMs if your friend wants to drop 150 on one.

its pretty much the same damn motor with 2 less cylinders. harness is routed the same and everything. Toysrme's solution is good. suplimentary injectors would work alright.
