Normally there is a fitting there where you connect a hose that goes from the compressor housing to the wastegate.That is what actuates the wastegate.

I pluged the one on my turbo and ran the wastegate off the IM......n00b! ;)

well it helps now that you posted a picture of the whole thing ::).

Is it threaded?It looks like it was modified.Ive never seen a turbo with a hole there :-\.If it is threaded,thats a good place to tap off for your boost guage.

That's the exact same type of turbo that I have. If that is what it is for, that's cool.
