I am having a hard time deciding what turbo to buy, and wanted to know what everyone else is running. I have a 92 teg with the stock b18. It's an automatic too, we're gonna see how long that will last. I am stuck between a T3 with a .63 a/r turbine or a .48 a/r turbine housing, both have a .60 a/r compressor. I have done a little research and some people say that the .48 a/r housing will cause me to run out of boost in the higher revs. But will the .63 spool up before 4500?

DOESNT THE LS REDLINE AT6400? my cousin ran a 14b on his b18a and that was more than his car could handle. i bought one myself and put it on my b16 rex and it worked fine to. i have now upgraded to a t3/4 turbonetics turbo its real good.

 

Actually, I think it is a little higher than that. So you think the 48/60 would be fine even to redline. The thing is, I dont want to be cruising around town and every time I tap the gas, I'm boosting, thats why I was thinkin of the larger a/r turbine.

 

I'd go 60/63 just because I've done a couple on D-series and they spooled just fine. They have good top end pull. But as far as on a LS, that could be different, especially on an automatic.

 

Why are you doing such a small compressor?

 

Im thinking im gonna go with a t3 garret 60/63 brand new for a built z6

 

I'm running a Turbonetics t3/t40e 60/63 on my 2001 Oak Coffee Table I'm broke as ---- so I can't afford a BOV and Charge pipes right now. SOOOO close.
