Default What size Charge pipes?

I know this has been covered, but the search isn't helpful. I am planning on running a Saab T3 48.42. with DSM450's on Uberdata. I currently have a D16Y7 with a Y8 intake. What size piping would be good at 6-7psi? I was planning on 2 inch.

Ok RENR, would 2 inch be good for 10 psi as well?

a solid 2 inch setup will work fine for you, you're not going to any crazy level. I would have the exhaust at 2.5" cause there is no need for an overkill there either.

Keep in mind my figures are considering that you are using all mandrel bent piping (so the radius stays at 2 inches)

I used 2.5" all the way, including the intercooler inlet/outlets. Seems to work fine for me.

Also use the slightest bends possible. To many bends, especially if they are all 90's will cause resistance in flow.So if you can use 2 45's in place of a 90 it helps. Also the bigger the charge pipe and the longer the run,the more area has to be pressurized. This has to do with the size of your intercooler too.To big a chargepipe and intercooler will take longer to pressurize and equates to some lag in boost.

I don't see how 2 45's will work better than a 90. Wouldn't 2 45's equal a 90?

I'm going to be running 2in from turbo to fmic then 2.5 in from fmic to tb running 9-10 psi. Don't know why i decided to do this. :P
