Default what should I buy to add a Bung to my Oil pan?

Hey all, I'm dropping my oil pan this week to replace the oil pan gasket, and I'm also repairing my transmission. I plan on boosting it in the near future, and I happen to have the car at my buddies shop who can weld. What EXACTLY should I buy to install on my oilpan for the oil return line for a turbo? What fitting/size?, can I buy a 'cap' for it to leave it sealed until I boost, etc, etc.

The only thing I know about this type of thing is that I think they are called "AN" fittings?

I know I have alot more research to do, and I know what I'm getting myself into, but I figure I should ask this now while the pan is off and in the hands of someone who knows how to weld.

I just used a regular old brass barb fitting and had someone braze it into the pan. Yeah you can use some kind of cap, that's what I did. I just used the Stealthmode drain line and put a bolt in the other end and clamped it down then pointed it upwards and leaned it against my radiator support, worked just fine.

What exactly is the 'brass barb fitting' are there any numbers I need to know? I read somewhere that I need a 1/2 to -10 fitting? is that what the barb needs to fit to?

I think I had a 3/8" NPT barb fitting.. it's not really important as long as the barb end matches up with your drain line.

I used this little pipe from homedepot. Works well. This is a pretty universal location for a return, feel free to use these pictures for the location.

This is a really good thing to do. If you weld it in, try to tilt it up a bit.
