What PSI?

I need some advice on how many pounds to run. Here's my setup-

ZC (OEM rebuild 60k miles ago)
14b w/ 8lb wastegate
CCA 31x8x2.75 FMIC
AFC Hack
MSD BTM
DSM 450s
NGK 1 step colder plugs

The car will be professionally tuned on a dyno. I do not want to blow this motor, so I want to keep it very safe. How many pounds do you think I should run?

i've been told 10 psi, i'm running the same set up but with a t25, just finshed today and dynoing it next wed, i'll get back with you then. I'm hoping to run 10psi.

What car is this going on?

With proper tuning, most anything is possible, look at jeff running 11.x+ CR with his twin turbo b18 ls/vtec.

A 91 CRX. I know tuning plays a huge role in what the motor will take, but I would rather be slower and not blow the motor than vice versa. I was planning on 8 pounds but Ive seen alot of people running 10, so Im kinda confused.

for me the stop on any stock internals engine is 10 psi.

Yeah, I definitely wont go above that, but Im tempted to run at 10 pounds.

Start off low, add more when you know things are safe, like no detonation and check to make sure your plugs are within the zone often. I'm going with the no more then 10 pound rule. Why didn't you go all out and chip the ecu?

Don't ------- use the AFC, you can't "profesionaly" tune with it, go with turbo edit, Run 8 psi, and make more power then you would have with the HACk. The operationaly limit on a stock map sensor with turboedit is 10 psi. Your enigne will handle that safely on a daily basses.

I sent the ECU out to street_kings to have TE installed, but he said it could not be done. So I figured the hack was better than an FMU.
