I think the question is what weight? not what brand. I used mobil 1 15/50 synthetic on stock turbo b16, now fully built will that be too thick? what is the better weight oil?

if this is a warm/southern climate the 20w50 is fine. its when you get to cold climates you need 10w or 5w.

the first number really dicateds how well the oil will lubricate at lower temps. 5w is better in super cold then 10w. like wise for the second number.

if you drive normal every day xxw30 is cool. If you drag alot or do something where your engine gets really warm quite often use xxw50.

that was the answeri was lookin for
i put in 5 w30 wit the finsihed project so come spring i guess i'll be movin up to 10

i recomend redline oil, seen it used everywhere, its good, but cost lots of $

i was juss wondering about this topic because i found some posts at other forums where they said changing from 10w-30 to 15w-50 caused the turbo to spool 1000 rpms slower...

i use 3/4 mobil one synthetic, 1/4 lucas oil stabilizer

15w50 is a thicker oil then 10w30 so id say that's possible.. but not as healthy for cold starts.
