d-series= series of engines that came stockin most honda civics from the mid eighties to present...read any honda forum faq These engines also came in other various honda models including integras, crx's and del sols.

or you can always go and look at the stamp on the block, it is located on the front passenger side of the block (dizzy side) I would recommend this to all honda engine noobs just guessing but i would say you have a non-vtec d16y7 hehe
