I have a lot of stuff done to it, This is not the first modification I do. The car is running mid to high 13's, close to an Sti. A bigger Turbo and injectors are on the way, ordered. I need to have the things I want to run before I go and reflash the ECU, If not I need to do it again and is more $$$ I have to spend.
It will lag a little more, yes, but it will significantly drop down the temp of the air charge.
The factory front mount can give you 300hp, but the air going in is still warm, with the front mount the temp is going to be lower and safer to the engine.

drop lol. yah right. not by that much. probobly by one psi. we installed the greddy fmic i believe and it dropped the temps down considerably and boostyed the performance by a couple hp. from there, we yanked the boost up from 13 lbs to 17 lbs. lol. lets just say it was fun. but we are runing close to 300 hp with the cob tuning ecu. its a pain in the *** bro. lots and lots and lots of cutting. removing the fog lights and everything. also, the bumper brace was a ------- brain teaser cus we cut it out, but its still togeather. now its all flimsy and ----. it would have to be rewelded to get any reigidity, cus the way it is now, its a wobling disaster. also, your gonna have to get someone to mount aq bov flange on that thing. its just a headache. also, the metal ---- that is on the hood that makes a lil air pocket for the intercooler should be bent. there is a lil flat piece of metal that guards from hot air. cut thius off as it will grind into the pip and cut it.

From what I have exprience from buying parts, all the cheap lower quality stuff breaks and then I end up spending even more $ in the end and it pisses me off. Spend the $ on the good stuff, its worth it in the end. Im not saying pick up the $900 FMIC, but I dunno how great OBX quality is in the long run.

buy a ------ accessport a bigger top mount and the sti scoop. have you seen how much pipe has to be run for a front mount in comparison to the top mount?
if you just wanna bling a front mount then go for it.

theres a local guy that runs low twelves with no problems rockin a topmount. that ------ car screams.

I guess, I checked on ebay, there's a few top mounts for $599. It's not because I want a front mount, I want performance. I'll have to do a little more research before I decide.

Yeah, I've checked the boards, but like you said, there are a hell of a lot of kids that don't know ----, and have all the money they want, thanks to mom and dad, and can't even open their own hoods.

They **** me off sometimes. That's why I don't go to those boards much. I've seen good results with all, the stocker, a bigger top mount and Front mounts, most people like what they have so you get different opinions. I need to check numbers and compare them. But again, my decision is just because I want to have all the main things I want or need before getting the ECU done. Probably not COBB, not too much tuning allowed with it, none at all, Either Microtech or ECUtek, both wrx tuner shops in the area recommend these, and have done a lot of cars with good results.
