In all seriousness, I know a guy who's had an SS Autochrome for over 2 years and its still in 1 piece.






















He hasn't taken it out of the box yet.

 

no actually my fist language is swdish but im from Finland.....thx atleast someone thinks i got some good parts..... im have built a few turbo engines before but never for myself! and i have never ever built on a honda engine! yeah it's just to test the stuff and see if it breaks!

Hey SS you serious about them Asian kids.
The ones I know can run circles arround most welders.
They start welding at the age of arround 8-10 and are pros before they are out of their teens.

sounds like you have it all in place. dont take the flames to the *** too much, cause seriously, if it's crap...it's crap. these guys arent talkin that ---- to flame on your manifold. the least u could do is redeem yourself by saying that you'd try to reinforce it somehow or weld the ---- out of it, or put 2,000 braces on it to make it last.

the worst thing you could do is try to back up and argue the quality of that manifold.

 

i like the whole u get what u pay for statement not talking ----, just saying i try and get my ---- as cheap as possible that's why i come here. . . and i don't plan on paying anything for the ---- i get it's freebies that i try and use but i'll say that my cheap *** would use the ss auto chromes and agree just brace the ---- out of it and then when it break say ehhhh don't care it was free and i got what i paid for

 

I installed many ss atochrome turbo headers, on D, B and H serie honda and on nissan.
I use one single bracket to support the turbo and I always use a flexpipe.
I never saw a crack on a SS header yet. And it's true, the product was improved over time.
They remain cheap asian headers, with insuficient diameter and the design could be better too. The wastegate location really sucks on certain applications.

 

My ssauto is "still" in one piece but I'm rocking a brace on mine. Also I'm hardcore with no flexpipe either in my down pipe and no problems "yet". I'll rock this ****** till it breaks into a thousand pieces or I find a topmount mani on the side of the road.
