This is the FMIC I plan on getting soon. (btw anyone tried this guy's IC's?)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

The 5th picture on that page is a bar and plate core. Basicly it has the same type of fins inside as it does outside. Bodes well for cooling power, but doesn't flow as well as the other type, an extruded IC. Extruded IC's have long hollow plates that have been extruded - MUCH less internal surface area than a bar and plate. I'd rather have cooler air in my motor less prone to detonation than +0.5 psi of hotter air.

Expect that IC to have a higher pressure drop than you might expect, mainly because of it being such a small bar and plate.

edit - forgot to add, the expensive Spearco's are bar and plate design.

It's funny that we have an HMT sponsor selling the bomb diggity intercoolers for $200 shipped, yet everyone wants to "try" a new kind.

Custom Coach owns you.

CCA doesn't have bar and plate intercoolers yet. I think they had problems with the source.

Oh ok. My bad. Then go give your money to that faceless scumbag on ebay. :P

Custom coach supports this site, and I'd rather feed his children before someone I don't know.

You don't need to tell me about it. CCA needs to find a new source for bar and plate cores. I'd still rather buy from CCA, but it would be fantastic if they would start making bar and plate intercoolers.
