First of all if you have a T28 from an JDM S14/S15 SR20DET those type are ball bearing turbo and rebuilt kits are not available other a new CHRA. Some shops may do rebuilt on BB turbo but IMO it's not worth it. Assuming it's ok I have almost similar setup but mine is an SR T25 and when fitting the turbo it was tricky for turbo will need be clocked and its make it harder to retain it's internal wastegate function. Good news is that the stock turbo elbow will clear perfectly. Overall SR20DET T25/T28 would be an excellent mild turbo but would defintely require using external wastegate,Unless you find a good way of mounting the wastegate. For now I sold my T25 and just rebuilded my 14b instead just to much hassle. GL with your build.

Ive got a t3 42 48 on my DOHC with the HF/external gate setup and I think it feels ok, but the turbo could be a little larger for stronger top end.

T25 def wouldnt cut it on the DOHC ZC and I dont know much about the T28s. T3s are just so common so why the hell not :8

They aren't talkin' about the T25 found on the 2g DSM's...There is ANOTHER T25 that is found on some of the JDM SR20 engines...I image that's a good sized turbo for that engine, but like someone said earlier, it's gonna be a lil bit of a hassle to set it up...HKS used to(?? don't know about now) make a manifold for the D series that used THAT turbo, that was flanged for an external wastegate...Options Auto used to have it for like 200 something bones, but that's been many ages ago now...

i would imagine that would depend on your adaptor plate making skillz, how big the turbo physically is, and if you are any good at making a custom downpipe.

it isnt JDM , it's bb i almost sure, S15 comes with bb here to Europe, i think.

here a pic of mine with T28 and GT-RS HKS (garret) (lol) , i dont know about if size is good for my ZC DOHC , anyway ill use it, uses T3 flange btw

id like run with External WG of course..

ive seen rebuild kis for T25/T28 turbos in Ebay, looks not bad (i did think rebuild kit comes with more stuff)

was wondering about when ill get full boost on my stock engine :1

ill make my own log mani... ^-^

you can't rebuild a ball bearing turbo. The kits you've seen for rebuilds are for non-ball bearing t25's and t28's
