Where can I get a low profile banjo style fitting though? The opening in the back is really tight. I also don't understand the comment about tapping in between the intake manifold and the throttle body. I always through those were kind of one in the same... ??? As far as a low profile banjo bolt, just use a stock one, almost all t3's use banjos from the factory, saab's and I think Tbirds do to?.. I usually just hack the coolant lines off and flare the ends, slide the hose over and clamp it. Jeff |
Re:water cooling
Rather than cutting it, I'm just going to take it out completely. That way I don't have to mess around with any kind of couplers or intermediate fittings between the new and the old. Besides, if I change my mind, I got the old one ready to go back on. ;)
As far as a banjo style fitting, I got my turbo with plastic plugs in them, so I have to find something else. I can get a regular barb fitting in the front, but there's only about an inch clearance in the back and I'm pretty sure I can't get a standard elbow in there, so I gotta find something a little more low profile. |
Re:water cooling
I'm going to add water lines to my HMT today and just wanted to make 100% sure I had a few things right. When I'm done, I'll do a little write up instead of having to answer the same "water cooling" questions over and over again. :)
1)The cooling line that I'm going to tap in to is the one coming from the back of the head/under the valve cover filter. It the one that goes under the fuel line and to the TB... is that right? I know for sure it is a cooling line, but it I reroute it to the turbo and then back to the TB, will that result in higher TB temps? http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...MXk1NDE%3D.jpg |
